2022 - A Magical Year for Wizardia

We'll be the first to admit it's been a rollercoaster year for Gamefi and crypto. Like many other projects, we haven't been able to hit every target in a challenging 2022, but we've doubled down on game development and have plenty of progress to show off!</span></p> <p> </p> <h2 id="2022-everything-we-achieved">2022 - Everything we achieved</h2> <p> </p> <p><strong>Alpha version of the game: PVP, PVE Tournaments</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We launched the Alpha version of Wizardia and welcomed thousands of gamers to the first PvE and PvP Tournaments. Our winning Wizardians have taken home thousands of dollars worth of prizes and NFTs. We salute you, our brave magical warriors!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Growing community and countries mostly involved</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wizardia's community has grown exponentially, from tiny beginnings to 450,000+ strong, spread across every corner of the globe. Shout out to our new friends in Japan, South Korea, Germany and France!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Arena Genesis NFTs sold - 6th round almost sold out</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our passive earning Arena Genesis NFTs have sold in droves, with the penultimate 6th round nearly all gone. With passive rewards launching in Q1, now is the time to invest in the future of the project. Prices increase for round 7 and, when they're gone, they're gone for good!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Wizard NFTs and exclusive skins (and pop-up events!)</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We launched our first drop of Wizard NFTs back in the summer of 2022 (seems like a decade ago, in crypto time), with seven Original Wizards emerging from the fog. Since then, we've dropped regular new Wizards and exclusive skins through pop-up events on our Discord server. Lots more Wizards, lore and worldbuilding to come!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Market NFTs</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Following on from the success of Arena Genesis NFTs and feedback from our investors (73% were most interested in passive income!) we launched Market Genesis NFTs too. This next generation of passive earning NFT will bag you rewards from transactions in our forthcoming Market.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Wizardia Wiki</strong></p> <p>If you want to get into the nitty gritty of the Wizardia world, there's no better place than our new wiki. Early investors had the chance to lock up their tokens in our staking pools, earning a generous APR in $WZRD, as well as sharing a huge reward pool of Wizardia NFTs.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Consumables</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Once Tournaments were up and running, we offered players an extremely affordable way to boost their battle performance - Consumables! We brewed up our first batch of magic potions to include Health, Mana and Revival bottles. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Mystery Boxes</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last, but in no way least, players and investors alike could try their luck purchasing Mystery Boxes. These included Wizards, the very first chance to acquire Consumables and $WZRD tokens (convertible into Tournament tickets). They were by far the best value for money products we launched, with hugely valuable NFTs picked up for bargain basement prices. With the wager system you will be able to place wagers on your battles to further increase your opportunity to earn. With these new transactions in the Arena, Arena Genesis NFT holders will be able to start enjoying that passive income they've been so looking forward to!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Rent, lend wizards (90% complete)</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Have some unused Wizards or duplicates you're not using to battle? Once Wizard renting goes live, you'll be able to rent your Wizards to other gamers and make a profit. At the same time, giving more opportunity to yourself and others to try out new Wizard combos and participate in Tournaments to win prizes!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Similar to renting, lending will become available for guilds. Once the wagering system is released, the NFTs will start generating passive income transactions in the Arena. You will be able to head over to Wizardia, log in to your account and claim your available rewards!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Code cleanup</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our development team has been working overtime building and iterating on Tournaments. Preparing for the next big release, they'll do a code cleanup to make sure everything is shipshape and running smoothly.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>2 new Wizards (under development)</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">2022 saw the emergence of our 7 original wizards. S, Tah, Olek, Crizal, Chikara, Tsering and Amin. Also making an appearance were the exclusive Petro and Hinata NFTs, through our famous pop up events. By the end of last year, we also witnessed the introduction of Seven, Rose and Elzevir! Now, by popular demand, will be the emergence of 2 brand new Wizards! That'll bring the total complement of magical in-game characters up to 14!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>3 new Consumables (under development)</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The first quarter of 2023 will also see the launch of 3 brand new Consumables to boost your Wizard battle performance. Stay tuned to our channels for the announcement and to be the first to try them out.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Q2:</strong></p> <p><strong>Wizard leveling</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One more feature for Wizard NFT holders and Tournament battlers to look forward to! Once our leveling system has come into play, gamers will be able to strengthen and level up their Wizards. The higher the level, the more dangerous AND more valuable your Wizard can become. Are you ready to go to the top?</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Crafting</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The crafting mechanic could be a game changer! Obtain the necessary objects or units and begin crafting in-game items such as Consumables. As the Wizardia world grows, so too will your ability to craft!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Q3:</strong></p> <p><strong>Base building</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Base building is another huge phase and brings an entirely new element for gamers. Players will be able to purchase a block of land and build a custom base. Different lands and buildings will have different purposes and potential strategies - such as passive resource farming, producing spells and more. Get ready to venture out into The Fog, fight with unknown lurking threats and uncover the secrets of this magical realm.</span></p>
