With the public sale of Arena Genesis NFTs fast approaching at the beginning of February, we are taking a moment to remind our community of the unique opportunities they encompass for passive royalty generation, and why these NFTs differ from other NFTs in the GameFi and Metaverse space.
Wizardia’s game economy consists of two NFT types. Wizard NFTs represent the player’s character in-game, and can be leveled up with successful gameplay, then sold, traded, or rented out on the Wizardia marketplace.
Arena Genesis NFTs make up the second type of NFT in Wizardia, and give users the chance to contribute to the early development of the game world while reaping potentially endless rewards from all subsequent battles that take place in the game’s battle Arena.
Those who purchase Arena Genesis NFTs prior to the game's launch will be able to stake their tokens and receive a portion of the revenue from all later NFT sales rounds. Once the game launches in full, the tokens will be shifted from the staking program and will begin to accrue royalties from transactions and wagers which take place in the live Arena.
Crucially, Arena Genesis NFT holders won’t have to engage in gameplay to receive ongoing royalties. Rather, this represents an opportunity for investors to support the early development of the project and be rewarded with passive royalties from Wizardia’s increasing user base over time. As more and more players arrive on Wizardia, the royalties generated from Arena Genesis NFTs stand to increase exponentially, in line with the ever-increasing transactions conducted within the game world.
Unlike other Metaverse projects where users buy land in a digital universe, Arena Genesis NFTs present an alternative investment prospect where the purchased assets don’t have to be constantly maintained or managed in real-time. Royalties from transactions in the Battle Arena are delivered by the NFTs themselves, allowing for passive royalties that continue to be generated indefinitely.
Arena Genesis NFTs will be distributed in 7 separate sales rounds. NFTs sold during the first sales round will be priced at $125 each, while the last round will see the NFTs priced at $445. While the first sales round offers the potential to gain the highest royalties going forward, participants in the later rounds will still have a chance to reap great rewards based on the future size of the game’s user base. Again, this is because Arena Genesis NFTs accrue royalties from every transaction (battle) conducted between players in the game’s Arena.

The first stage of Wizardia’s Arena Genesis NFT sale will go ahead in early February, with ongoing sales to be conducted throughout early 2022. The game’s battle Arena is expected to be launched by the end of Q2 of this year, at which point Arena Genesis NFTs will begin to generate royalties from in-game battles.
