We conducted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) last week when we joined SuperLauncherDAO for a group voice chat on Twitter.
SuperLauncher is an investment DAO that provides funding and organizational assistance to upcoming DeFi and GameFi projects that are shaping the future of the blockchain space.
We took questions from SuperLauncherDAO’s users on topics relating to the functionality of Wizardia’s NFTs, the game’s play-to-earn (P2E) mechanisms, the progress of our roadmap, and our decision to build on Solana.
Q: How did you guys come up with the idea to create Wizardia on Solana and what made you choose the Solana network for your project that you can even play on your mobile?
A: We watched Solana’s rise in the crypto market in 2020–2021 and see potential in this young fast and efficient blockchain, especially in the crypto gaming industry. We had some enthusiastic people that we met during other projects who are now working with us on blockchain integration.
The mobile app is one of the parts of our game. We are making the game cross-platform, but it is happening in stages. First, it is the PC client game and then mobile and browser.
Q: Let’s talk about the Wizard NFTs, talk us through the concept of these tradable NFTs, how are they unique digital assets with in-game and real-world value, what’s their functionality, and what do they look like?
A: As the Wizardia name suggests the main attractions of the game are Wizards. Players will interact with gameplay elements like the Arena through the hands of their owned Wizards, level up their NFTs, and increase their value.
In-game and real-world value: Winning battles against other players yields rewards that directly or indirectly earn you Wizardia Tokens. The more powerful the Wizard and the more skillful the player is, the higher the MMR can one achieve and thus earn better rewards. In turn, Wizard’s in-game effectiveness creates real-world demand for the Wizard. Also, all Wizards have something unique about them — whether it would be their splash art that players or investors may be interested in, or their stats and abilities that would fit perfectly in a player’s team of Wizards.
Functionality: In battle player’s Wizards use their abilities against the opponent’s Wizards in a turn-based fashion. Abilities include anything from buffs, debuffs, and special interactions to more powerful attacks, damage over time, and AoE attacks all with different visual effects and potential.
Personally, when it comes to the wizards I’m most excited about the Original Wizard NFT collection. They come with some awesome mechanics and are limited in quantity so I expect to see their value skyrocket. They are meticulously hand-painted by fantastic artists, not just randomly generated, and the first drop is coming soon.
Q: Tell us more about your Play 2 Earn mechanism, how could a player of the game, even a teenager, use it to create income by playing, and what makes it different from Gala Games or others? I even read that NFTs could be rented out to other players for rewards, which would be passive income?
A: That’s a big question here :) Do you want the short or the long answer? Ultimately, there are many ways to earn in Wizardia.
The first one is our Arena Genesis NFT. If you have the arena Genesis NFT, you will earn passive income based on how many players there are in Wizardia. The more active players the more revenue.
Others will be able to earn by playing in the arena, completing daily tasks and quests, fighting in PVE battles, crafting artifacts, discovering new spells, and selling or renting them.
Investors mainly resort to passive income from Genesis NFTs or holding valuable in-game NFTs and selling them to other players or investors. On top of the investor income sources, players can earn from in-game interactions.
There are 2 distinct types of transactions in the game
Player to player:
Player to vault to player:
Q: WZRD is going to be your utility token that also acts as a currency in the game. What are deflationary mechanisms built into the token and what is making this powerful for someone generating passive income or in general, a stream of income?
A: We have a limited supply of tokens and upon game release, you’ll be able to obtain the NFTs by spending the tokens, so they will be taken out of circulation. WZRD tokens may be used as the mode of settlement for various resources and/or in-game upgrades, such as:
WZRD token may also be consumed for certain in-game access and privileges to speed up some in-game processes. And acquiring tickets required to participate in Arena events.
Q: On your roadmap, we can see staking, NFT marketplace, and multiple audits, what is most exciting for the users? What could give investors incentives to invest, witness your growth, and hodl?
A: A staking program is to be introduced with IDO and will incentivize players to stake tokens for a nice APY. The marketplace is a bit later on the roadmap, but it will also be a big event for us and another way to earn for our players.
But the game is what matters. We are launching it in stages: Arena, tournament system, base building/spell discovery/crafting, and so on, until we build the whole game. We want the player to be able to play while we create and constantly add content to the game.
Personally, however, I’m most excited about the Arena Genesis NFTs, which are launching within the next week. You have to follow our Discord/Twitter/Telegram or other social media channels to get the news first.
